When should you get your MOT done?
You can check your MOT due date on your latest MOT certificate or on the gov.uk website. You’ll usually need to get an MOT done by the third anniversary of your vehicle’s registration and then annually after this.
It can be tempting to wait until the last moment to get your MOT done, however, we recommend booking in at some point in the four weeks before it’s due. This means you have time to get things fixed and the car re-tested if any issues do emerge.
